On Stage in Daejeon:Piano Recital: Kim Jung-JaFriday 9th October 2008 [KAIST]

The Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology [KAIST] is pleased to present as part of its Fall Culture Festival for 2008 a performance by Korean Pianist Kim Jung-Ja. Kim Jung-Ja has won critical acclaim for her pianistic brilliance and insight, earning praise from publications like the Boston Globe for her "virtuosity of imagination," "strong, generous personality"and "pianistic precision of a rare order." Her recent engagements have included appearances at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and Boston’s Jordan Hall; a recital and chamber music concert in Dijon, France; duo concerts with cellist Myung-Wha Chung in Korea; and a single-evening performance of the complete Beethoven Sonatas with cellist Rhonda Rider. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Ms. Kim made her debut at Carnegie Recital Hall as a winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions a recital described by the New York Times as "brilliant playing, a vibrant, compelling performance."
