The Hanwha Eagles were founded in 1985 and were Korea's 7th professional baseball club. It has won one championship [in 1999] and has been runner-up five times [1988, 1989, 1991 and 2006]. Among is star players are: Jang Jong-Hoon, Song Jin-Woo, Kim Tae-Gyun, Lee Beom-Ho and Ru Hyun-Jin. In 2005, the year when Kim In-Sik was brought into the team as the team's manager, the team came in third in the years regular season and made in to the playoffs.
