The U.S. VS. John Lennon focuses on a part of the music icon's life that is often overlooked: his politicisation both during and after the Vietnam War. Towards the end of the Beatles' career, Lennon began taking the band in a new direction, using their popularity to circulate a message of peace in songs such as ‘Revolution’. He became even more involved after the band broke up, and the film traces his growing awareness and dissent through both archival footage--much of which had lain forgotten in vaults for decades--and interviews with those close to him. This leads to the titular case, in which the U.S. government, which had already been monitoring his actions for some time, attempted to deport the star for fear of the threat he posed to the nation. The film also portrays Lennon's close relationship with Yoko Ono and the effect she had on his art, including an interview with the Japanese performance artist and muse that sheds much light on the couple's intimate history.

Photographer Leon (Bradley Cooper), wants to capture on film the "true" New York City. He has to sell photos of crimes and accidents to tabloids for money, though. He is given a meeting with a legendary art dealer (Brooke Shields), and accepts her advice to explore individual places more closely, in hopes of finding the image that impresses her and gets him a break in the art world. He ends up encountering strange doings during late-night subway rides, and becomes obsessed with a silent, severe butcher (Vinnie Jones) who bludgeons passengers to death on a regular basis.

This object turns out to be an alien creature with regenerative powers that will end up teaching important lessons to both father and son, amidst a dramatic turn of events in which Dicky is confronted to the harsh realities of life.

Adapted from the memoirs and research of Adolf Burger, "The Counterfeiters" ("Die Fälscher") reveals a new side to the Holocaust: the Nazis as petty crooks. Throughout the Second World War, the Nazis schemed to flood other nations' economies with counterfeit cash, and they turned to career criminals and talented prisoners to do their dirty work for them. These Jews, working out of concentration camps, falsified millions of British pound notes and would later turn their attention to the American hundred dollar bill. (Stalling tactics and bad timing left this portion of the scheme a failure.) "Operation Bernhard," as it was called, produced what are considered the finest counterfeits to ever find their way into circulation; the prisoners would also falsify passports, documents, stamps, and whatever else the SS demanded.
